Camp Wieser Volunteer Application 2023

Step 1 of 7

  • CAMP WIESER
    VOLUNTEER APPLICATION 2023
A Program of The Me-One Foundation

Serving as a volunteer for Camp Wieser is one of most rewarding experiences you will ever have. Over the weekend, Volunteers give 100% of their time and attention to helping 25 deserving families make lasting memories together. It's a lot of work, but it can be life-changing! So if you are ready to share your time and skills to help make camp really magical, submit this form and our Volunteer Coordinator will try to find the ideal role for you at camp.

Camp Dates and times for volunteers are 11:00 am on Friday, September 15th through late afternoon on Sunday, September 17th, but volunteers for Spa Services are needed only on Friday and Saturday the 15th and 16th. The camp's location is Mission Springs Conference Center in Scotts Valley, California.

All applications for volunteers will be reviewed and considered by our selection committee. COVID-19 testing will be required of you prior to arrival at Camp, and again over the weekend. Please read the details of the COVID-19 Policy for Camp Wieser 2023 before completing this application.

Selection of applicants for each camp session is solely within the discretion of the selection committee. Due to liability and safety reasons, we may need to research background information on applicants. Please know we mean no invasion of privacy; we mean only to protect our campers. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.

When you have filled out the form and click "Yes, Sign Me Up" you will be redirected to a new page. On that new page you'll be given an opportunity to donate toward your meals and lodging at Camp. It's optional, but much appreciated.

  • If signing up for a teenager who may not have an email address, please use the parent's email address.
  • Have you moved? New mobile phone?

  • This is required if you are expected to drive a vehicle on the Camp premises during Camp Wieser.
  • Construction/Setup volunteers might be asked to arrive on Thursday, September 14th. Wieser Warriors must be at least 18 unless accompanied and supervised by an adult volunteer. Please note: Arts & Crafts are already fully staffed for this year's camp.

  • Is mobility a problem for you? Volunteer lodging is often reached via stairs. We will try to assign you to a room that is accessible, but cannot guarantee it. Mission Springs is not yet ADA compliant.
  • Why we ask: Most volunteers share their room with other volunteers. We want you to be comfortable.
  • In an effort to keep our volunteer costs at a minimum and to maximize the available lodging, volunteers are housed by gender. You will be assigned lodging with other volunteers of your same gender and your roommate may be someone you do not know. We do our best to honor same-gender roommate requests, but cannot guarantee it. There is a $10.00 refundable room key deposit. You may leave your deposit in the form of cash, check or personal ID or card. Your deposit will be returned when you turn in your room key Sunday morning before Closing Ceremony. Mission Springs charges the Foundation $10.00 for each lost key.
